The first two books in the Seven Ages series, these stories are set in very different societies separated by many centuries, yet they feature the same character, Tom Ericson.
Tom’s story begins in Moment of Inertia, a contemporary fiction story illustrating the myopic view we pathetic mortals have of our painful existence. It follows Tom’s journey as he learns about the brevity and insignificance of pain and as he encounters its real solution.
His story continues in The Seventh Age, an epic fantasy set over a thousand years later, where an immortal Tom Ericson now must teach others the lessons he learned. The Seventh Age explores an earth with the Creator living on it as a man, ruling as its king for a thousand years, and it ponders what it would be like for resurrected saints to live alongside mortal men.
More books are underway. Most likely, the next one to be completed will not be in the Ages series; it’s an entirely different animal. Afterwards, the first age story will probably follow, and work completed so far feels like fans of The Seventh Age will be pleased.
